Vision at Dedication

Dedication of Eagle’s NestFriday, 24 April 2009
As Celia was praying the last prayer, dedicating everything regarding the school to the Lord, I looked up to sky above the fence bordering the property. I saw a host of angels coming from heaven to the school. Some of them came to stand around the perimeter of the school, like a spiritual fence. But then there were others that seemed to form a dome of spiritual protection above and over the property. Ephesians 6:12 came to mind:
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm.
I had a sense that this act of obedience, of dedicating the school and everything in it to the Lord, is an act of profound spiritual significance. By bringing everything under the Lordship of Christ, He has released a spiritual protection over it (Psalm 91:14–16), because it has been decreed to the spirit realm today that this place is now an expression of His kingdom rule and reign (Psalm 91:9–11).
I had a sense that, within this divine protection of the heavenly host, there will be a great ease and flow of ministry; that the strongholds over the area, and over the families the children come from, will be broken (Psalm 91:3–8, 12–13) as they come into this place that has been dedicated to the Lord and is now filled with His Presence (Psalm 91:1–2).
I was reminded of the way in which the Presence of God filled the Temple the moment Solomon finished his prayer of dedication – 2 Chronicles 7:1 (see 2 Chronicles 6:14 – 7:10). I sense that today you stepped into a new dimension in the spirit realm. I encourage you to be expectant to see the great works that God will do among you because you have honoured Him and invited His Presence to come and dwell with you.
