Olympics in Wallacedene

Our children really entered into the spirit of the Olympics, with the Grade 5 and 6's doing research on the original games and every class adopting a country to follow and support.
Here are pictures of the Grade 2's with the medals they made. Each child received a medal for a n achievement they have made this year, from trying hard, to improving reading to being kind etc.
The Grade 1's had a training session outside but they don't even look as if they raised a sweat!

Grade RM studied Zimbabwe and all made large flags. We were able to have a lot of first-hand knowledge shared by our Zimbabwean teachers!

Because we have had a lot of contact with Canada, in many ways over the years, the Grade 2S class studied Canada and also made their own flags.
