OPEN DAY WAS A GREAT SUCCESS

On a sunny Saturday morning you would expect children to be out playing with their friends, but not the children of Eagle's Nest! They were on their way to school for a special morning session, so that their sponsors could meet them and see what it is really like at Eagle's Nest Primary School in Wallacedene.
What a wonderful time we all had. Many sponsors and supporters first attended a short AGM and then were invited to visit classrooms and experience the lessons being taught. They were not disappointed - there was Jolly Phonics and Numeracy in grade 1 stage 1, art - making a rugby flag, or number using bottle tops in grade 1 stage 2, lifeskills and wild animals in Grade 2; Literacy in Grade 3; and PE in Grade 4 and 5.
Then everyone came together for assembly - what a thanksgiving service that was!
We say "THANK YOU JESUS! Because of You, we have a wonderful school and wonderful supporters."
For those who missed this experience, we will see you next year, at the AGM on Saturday 25th August, 2012. Put it in your diaries now.
